A KZN man was killed on a highway while he was running away from robbers in Durban.
This tragic incident unfolded on Friday evening along the R102 highway near Cornubia, north of Durban, where a 40-year-old man lost his life while attempting to escape an apparent robbery attempt.
According to reports from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), the victim was struck by a white Renault Triber while running across the roadway. The incident occurred around 6pm when the man and two companions were returning to their Cornubia residence.
Man Killed In An Accident While Fleeing From Robbers
RUSA spokesperson Prem Balram stated that the group was allegedly approached by three armed individuals brandishing knives. In their desperate attempt to flee the dangerous situation, the victim ran onto the busy road where the fatal collision occurred.

The victim lost his life in a bid to run away for his life after being hit by an unsuspecting motorist. SAPS is yet to release the identity of the victim in the car accident.
Aftermath of the Tragedy
Emergency responders arrived to find the man with fatal injuries on the roadside. The driver of the Renault Triber involved in the accident reportedly escaped unharmed. Authorities are currently investigating both the alleged robbery attempt and the subsequent traffic incident.
