Perez Medcare Hospital in Lagos State has issued an official statement denying involvement in Mohbad’s death.

The hospital categorically stated that Mohbad was brought in dead and was never admitted as a patient in their facility.

According to the hospital’s statement seen by The Guardian, Mohbad’s lifeless body was brought to their medical facility on September 12.

“We consider it pertinent to put on record that at about 04:30 p.m. on September 12, 2023, the lifeless body of Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was brought to our medical facility.”

The hospital’s medical team immediately assessed the situation and found no signs of life, pulse, heartbeat, or recordable vital signs.

They also noted fixed and dilated pupils. Attempting CPR revealed rigour mortis, indicating that Mohbad had passed away before arriving at the hospital.

Our medical team immediately sprang into action. After assessment, it was discovered that there was no sign of life, no central or peripheral pulse, no heartbeat, no recordable vital signs and his pupils were fixed and dilated. On attempting CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), rigour mortis (stiffening of some parts of the body in relation to death) was observed and the persons who brought him to our facility were informed that it was a case of BID (Brought in dead).”

Nurse’s Involvement Raises Questions

The circumstances leading to Mohbad’s emergency were explained to the hospital’s team. It was revealed that the deceased had been receiving treatment at home from a nurse who administered injections.

In response, Perez Medcare Hospital advised that Mohbad’s body be taken to the nearest Government Hospital for morgue placement.

The hospital emphasized that Mohbad was not their patient, and the nurse providing treatment at his home was not associated with their facility.

Police Investigation Unearths Disturbing Clues

In an attempt to uncover the truth behind Mohbad’s death, the Nigeria Police Force.

Mohbad’s body was exhumed for an autopsy on September 21, 2023. Disturbing findings, including fresh blood, were found in the grave. The discovery fueled speculation that he may have been buried alive.

As of now, autopsy results are pending, and authorities vow to leave no stone unturned.
