Maskandi Musician Busani ‘Ntshebe’ Khuzwayo Dies

Renowned maskandi musician Busani ‘Ntshebe’ Khuzwayo has died at the age of 62.

Busani Khuzwayo’s Death Confirmed

Ntshebe’s death was confirmed by his brother Shobeni Khuzwayo. Speaking to the Daily Sun, Shobeni revealed that Busani had been unwell since June 2024.

Shobeni explained that Busani developed a mysterious wound on his leg, which they initially believed was related to diabetes.

He was unwell from 2024 around June because out of the blue, he had a wound on his leg, and we assumed it was because of diabetics but he fought, and the wound was healed.

Shobeni disclosed that Ntshebe suffered a severe stroke on 2 May that left him unable to speak or respond when spoken to.

The situation quickly became critical, prompting the family to rush him to the hospital for urgent medical attention.

On Friday night, 2 May, he suffered a severe stroke, and the situation was bad because he was not able to speak and respond if we were talking to him, and he was rushed to hospital,” he said.

He had been recovering and was able to speak, but sadly, the family was shocked to receive a call informing them of his death.

Mzansi Mourns Busani’s Death

Busani Khuzwayo was a multi-award-winning musician, best known as the co-founder and lead guitarist of the iconic maskandi group, Izingane Zoma. Renowned for his distinctive guitar style and energetic dance moves, he was widely regarded as the face of the group. His thick beard earned him the nickname “Ntshebe.”

His sudden and untimely death has left fans and fellow musicians shocked and heartbroken. Condelence messages have already started trickling in as Mzansi mourns his death.
