Pics: Generations’ Tshidi Actress Letoya And Lebo’s Traditional Wedding
Generations actress Letoya Makhene who plays the role of Tshidi Phakade tied the knot to Lebo Kwesa at a lavish and traditional wedding ceremony on Tuesday.
The ceremony was held at the Moletsane Sports Complex in Soweto.
However, the wedding ceremony was delayed for about four hours Letoya and Lebo’s families held a private ceremony at Letoya’s home in Tladi, Soweto. The private ceremony was for the two families to get to know each other better and to forge relationships.
Businesswoman, Lebo was clearly awed by the ceremony as well as the journey on which she has walked with Letoya.
“I’m blown away. This has been the most exciting, intriguing and fascinating journey I’ve ever travelled with a human being.
“I have met someone whom I love fearlessly and effortlessly. I’m not perfect, but she has accepted me,”
Lebo also said that while the relationship had proved challenging for her family to accept in a number of ways, they had come through for her in the end and accepted that she is a lesbian who is in love with a sangoma.
“The journey we undertook with our families was the most important thing. For the first time, my family accepted a sangoma into the family.“Izangoma travel a journey that we don’t understand, but my family and I are accepting of it. I’m getting the love I’ve always wanted right here. My family has never been open after I came out as a lesbian. This is a big thing for my family.”
Letoya’s dad, veteran musician Blondie Makhene blessed Letoya and Lebo’s union and even said that he is happy with the union because men are trash.
