A 35-year-old woman from Limpopo, Nancy Mudau, has been arrested for orchestrating an elaborate child support scam involving eight unsuspecting men over a 12-year period.
Multiple Men Convinced They Were the Father
According to MDN News, each of the eight men was led to believe he was the biological father of Nancy Mudau’s child.
The men contributed financially in various ways, including paying monthly maintenance and covering school fees.
Authorities say the deception continued uninterrupted for more than a decade, raising questions about how the scheme remained undetected for so long.

Luxurious House and Tavern Built With Child Support Money
Investigators allege that the funds Mudau received were used to significantly improve her lifestyle. She is reported to have built a luxurious house using the money collected from the eight men.
At the time of her arrest, Ms Mudau was also in the process of constructing a tavern, which authorities believe was being financed with proceeds from the same fraudulent scheme.
