Longwe and Kelly Khumalo Under Fire As Incriminating Evidence Comes To Light
Longwe Twala and Kelly Khumalo have captured public attention amidst the ongoing court proceedings of the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial at the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria. On the 28th of July 2023, startling revelations emerged during the court session, indicating that a sim swap was performed on the late Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa’s phone the day after his tragic demise.
Data analyst and investigating officer Colonel Lambertus Steyn also disclosed a significant connection between Kelly Khumalo and one of the alleged suspects before the murder occurred. According to Steyn’s testimony, Khumalo and accused number five had been in communication, with their last call taking place on the 15th of October 2014, merely a few weeks prior to Senzo’s fatal shooting on the 26th of October 2014 in Vosloorus.
Conflicting Testimonies Emerge
As the court heard about Senzo Meyiwa receiving a call while in the hospital on the night of the shooting (based on a cellphone tower record), this evidence seemed to contradict Zandile Khumalo’s testimony during the trial. Zandile Khumalo had earlier stated that they discovered Senzo Meyiwa’s cellphone in the kitchen after returning from the hospital.
With these new twists in the case, music producer Chicco Twala, Longwe Twala’s father, added fuel to the fire with a shocking revelation. A video clip of Chicco Twala’s interview with NewzRoom Afrika went viral on social media, attracting thousands of reactions and comments.
Chicco Twala Makes a Startling Statement
In the interview, Chicco Twala asserted that both his son and the individuals present in the house at the time of Senzo Meyiwa’s murder are aware of the identity of the shooter. He strongly urged that these people should be taken in for questioning, considering they were present in the house on the night of the incident. Twala expressed his belief that it would be unusual if they were not called in for questioning by the authorities.
Chicco Twala emphasized the importance of serving justice and stated that if his son was involved in any way, the law should take its course without any favoritism. He also disclosed that Kelly Khumalo contacted him after the incident took place, further adding intrigue to the already complex case.
