Longwe Twala, son of the prominent South African music producer Sello “Chicco” Twala, has been released from custody following a bail hearing on 25th September. Longwe and his younger brother, Sello, were arrested for stealing and selling their father’s valuable studio equipment.

While the court released Longwe on a warning, his brother Sello had been freed earlier due to insufficient evidence. The Twala brothers were detained a few weeks ago after their father, Chicco Twala, complained to the authorities.

According to reports, the two were accused of unlawfully taking equipment from their father’s renowned music studio, with an estimated value running into thousands of rands. This case has sparked widespread attention due to the family’s high-profile status in South Africa’s entertainment industry.
