The current dismal performance by the Proteas and Bafana Bafana team has been attributed to Mamlambo the snake and to some extent, the Guptas. In one week, we have seen the Proteas being humiliated and knocked out in the group stages of the T20 World Cup currently under way in India. Even the Easter spirit has not helped as our last hope of smiling for the nation was dashed by Bafana Bafana when they failed to defeat Cameroon on home turf to possibly rule themselves out of the AFCON tournament.

Analysts have however determined the route cause of Mzansi’s sport woes. Two possible explanations were concluded for the lackluster and embarrassing performances. It is strongly believed the Proteas early exit was because of the Guptas. The Proteas went to India at a time when some South Africans were baying for the Guptas to leave South African soil. This did not sit down well with the Guptas who saw it as a slap in the face that they were being chased back to India at a time when South African cricket team was in India. The irony. Being the connected guys that they are, the Gupta’s are believed to have made a call to all the other teams in the Group that South African was in to make sure they beat South Africa and exit India in the group stages. Tit for tat.

With regards to Bafana Bafana, their chances of qualifying to the next round are next to impossible. Laughable at best. It is believed someone in the Bafana Bafana camp pissed off Mamlambo, the infamous Generations : The Legacy snake thus leading to mamlambo vowing to never allow the boys to qualify for the AFCON until kingdom comes.

Bafana Bafana have only a very slim mathematical chance to qualify. If they win their last two games (against Gambia and Mauritania) they will need Mauritania to draw with Cameroon and Gambia to beat Cameroon.

In that case, Bafana would be tied on nine points with Cameroon at the top of the table and will go through on away goals in head to head with the Indomitable Lions, that’s if they make things right with Mamlambo
