Witnesses shared that the man jumped from the rooftop where he was and everyone who saw the incident concluded that the man had willingly jumped to his death.

Western Cape police spokesperson, Captain Frederick van Wyk, stated that preliminary investigations indicate the incident was a suicide. The man, whose identity remains unknown, was not a hotel guest and had not purchased access to the Sky-Hi Ride attraction, dispelling earlier rumors.

The immediate area was secured following the tragedy, causing brief traffic delays as emergency services responded.
