Police reports indicate the man was wanted for the fatal shootings of his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend and 49-year-old wife in Ngobozana during the early hours of Tuesday morning. The suspect reportedly fled the scene in the family vehicle, which was later found abandoned.

Local residents in Gqathula, approximately 10 kilometers from Lusikisiki’s central business district, alerted authorities after finding a male body in an open field. Investigators confirmed the deceased matched the description of the wanted suspect and recovered a 9mm pistol at the scene.
“Preliminary evidence suggests the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but we’re conducting a thorough investigation to confirm all circumstances surrounding his death,” stated police representatives.
