Doubts Cast on Masechaba Khumalo ‘s Accusations: Old Interview Challenges Her Claims Against Jub Jub
There are concerns regarding Masechaba Khumalo’s accusations against Jub Jub, a former presenter on Metro FM.
Khumalo is among several individuals who have come forward claiming that Jub Jub sexually assaulted them. These claims surfaced after his ex-girlfriend Amanda Du Point reported him to the police.
Jub Jub, whose real name is Molemo Maarohanye, turned himself in to the Brixton police in July. He is facing charges of rape, attempted murder, and assault dating back to 2006. The South African Police Service had issued an arrest warrant for him.
After a legal process, Jub Jub was granted bail of R10,000 by the Johannesburg Magistrates Court. Throughout the proceedings, Jub Jub has consistently maintained his innocence. He suggests that Amanda Du Point’s accusations stem from her anger over him revealing her infidelity. Jub Jub’s next court appearance is scheduled for November 8.
Masechaba Khumalo’s Account and Details
Recent reports indicate that Masechaba Khumalo has provided the police with details of the alleged rape incident involving Jub Jub. She claims that the incident occurred when she was 16 years old and still a student at Mondeor High School, between 1999 and 2000, at Jub Jub’s parents’ home in Naturena. Khumalo states that she was a virgin at the time.
Evidence and Questions about Khumalo’s Credibility
However, there is evidence that raises doubts about her claims. Social media users, including Jub Jub’s fans, have discovered information that casts doubt on Khumalo’s credibility.
These users reminded Khumalo that in 2019, she publicly disclosed that she had been sexually abused by her stepfather when she was only nine years old. This revelation raises questions about her assertion that she was a virgin at the time of the alleged rape by Jub Jub.
Khumalo previously stated about the abuse:
“When I was nine, my stepfather unfortunately initiated my first sexual encounter. He molested me. At the time, my mother was not present as we were in the States, and she had left me in his care, assuming it was acceptable to leave a child with her father. Over a period of two to three days, he held me captive and subjected me to sexual abuse.”
