Matshidiso Leaves Muvhango Again
Actress Buhle Samuels who plays the character of Matshidiso on Muvhango is leaving the Tshivenda SABC 2 soapie again.
The actress first made an appearance on the popular SABC 2 soapie six years ago, playing the character of the seductive and manipulative villain; Matshidiso.
Samuels said previously about her exit:
“It’s time to grow. I’m young and excited to do other projects and challenge myself and play other characters.”
The actress, who became popular among fans for her sizeable behind, said she wanted to try other things.
“People will get to see some of the other things I have been working on.
Samuels previously collaborated with fashion powerhouse; Khosi Nkosi 2 years ago and partnered with a lingerie brand; Bras N Things four months ago. As its brand ambassador Samuels said,
”I want curvacious women to embrace and love their bodies and accept the way they are”.
She previously joined the likes of Lesley Musina, Phindile Gwala, Bontle Sithole and Sindi Dlathu who left in 2018.
Samuels previously said her departure was amicable.
“It is not that there is anything bad happening there (Muvhango). You need to allow people to grow and I think it just so happens that a bunch of us find ourselves at that point collectively.”
She since joined Imbewu-The-Seed where she played the role of Zandile in season one and two before she re-joined Muvhango this year, which is also under Word of Mouth Pictures.
She’s also acted on Ferguson Films latest Netflix series; Kings of Joburg as Angela Masire.
It is unclear as to why she’s leaving the soapie again this time around or whether she will return or will be killed off, however, sources have revealed that her exit will be dramatic.
There has been no statement made by Muvhango’s publicist Amanda Ngudle as yet regarding Samuels exit from the show.
