Miss SA Runner Up Ayanda Thabethe Earns Miss Congeniality at Miss Supranational 2023
Ayanda Thabethe, the 1st runner up of Miss South Africa, has earned herself the title of Miss Congeniality at this year’s Miss Supranational beauty pageant competition.
Ayanda Thabethe Shines at Miss Supranational 2023
The Miss Supranational competition finale took place on Friday, July 14th at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheatre in Nowy Sącz, Poland. Throughout the preliminary rounds of the competition, Ayanda performed exceptionally well, winning one of the top five Miss Supranational slots after answering each question with eloquence during the finals of #suprachat 2023, along with India, Canada, the Philippines and Peru.

Despite her incredible performance, Ayanda only made it to the Top 24 of the competition. However, all is not lost because she flew South Africa’s flag high when she earned herself the title of Miss Congeniality at the Miss Supranational 2023 beauty pageant.
Miss South Africa Organization Congratulates Ayanda Thabethe
In a post to Instagram, the Miss South Africa organization congratulated Ayanda on how far she has come. “Congratulations on a beautiful journey Ayanda Thabethe. You’ve laid your mark on a global stage and oozed so much light and confidence,” they wrote.

In an article by The Citizen, Ayanda expressed her gratitude to South Africans for their overwhelming support and messages of encouragement. “I want to thank South Africans for their overwhelming support and wonderful messages. I have loved every minute of my Miss Supranational journey and I hope I have made you all proud,” she noted.
Andrea Aguilera Crowned Miss Supranational 2023
The 14th Miss Supranational was crowned by outgoing queen Lalela Mswane from South Africa. Andrea Aguilera is a model, pageant and international business student from Ecuador. She is 5’11” tall and is 22 years old. According to Missology, Andrea is the first Ecuadorian to win the prestigious title of Miss Supranational 2023.
