Xolani Khumalo to Stay on Sizok’thola Despite Entering Politics
Television personality Xolani Khumalo will continue hosting Sizok’thola on Moja Love even after being named ActionSA’s mayoral candidate for Ekurhuleni.
The TV channel has confirmed that it will not prevent him from pursuing his political ambitions.
“As you may know, everyone has a right to political affiliation and likewise, Mr Khumalo informed us he would like to exercise this right,” said Moja Love’s spokesperson and media liaison, Nonzwakazi Cekete.
ActionSA Announces Khumalo as Mayoral Candidate
ActionSA made the announcement over the weekend, surprising many South Africans by introducing the popular TV host as its choice for the upcoming local government elections.

The party described Khumalo as “a fearless, ethical leader who is ready to reclaim the city from criminals, provide basic services, and ensure growth and jobs.”
Khumalo, who comes from Thembisa, gained national fame through Sizok’thola, a reality show that confronts drug-related crime in communities across the country.
Moja Love Supports Khumalo’s Political Journey
According to The Citizen, Cekete confirmed that Khumalo’s new political path will not affect his role on the show.
“He will continue working on Sizok’thola,” she said, reaffirming the channel’s stance.
Moja Love also emphasized its continued commitment to producing impactful content that reflects social realities.
“Moja Love has always been in the forefront of reality television and shows such as Sizok’thola are a reflection of the realities of an inefficient justice system that protects syndicates and politicians,” Cekete noted.
Fighting Crime Through Television
Through Sizok’thola, Khumalo has become a household name and a symbol of hope in the fight against drugs and crime. The show has drawn attention for its bold approach — raiding homes of alleged drug dealers and exposing the failures of law enforcement.
“Despite numerous requests for collaboration that often have fallen on deaf ears in law enforcement organisations, the channel continues to combat crime and showcase the harsh realities of crime and injustices,” added Cekete.
