According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Dollie orchestrated the crime by hiring two hitmen from Johannesburg, identified only by their nicknames, “Shaun” and “Oompie.” Initially, she offered R80,000 for the job, but due to delays in executing the plan, the agreed-upon fee escalated to a staggering R380,000.

The grim plot unfolded over weeks of planning. Dollie reportedly communicated extensively with the hired killers, coordinating the murder of her son to appear as a random act of violence.
