Mphowabadimo Criticised for Blocking Themba From Seeing Their Son
Reality TV star and traditional healer Mphowabadimo, whose real name is Michelle Dimpho Mvundla, is facing criticism on social media for her decision not to let Themba “Broly” Mabaso see their child.
The former couple gained fame during the third season of the popular DStv reality TV competition, Big Brother Mzansi (BBM). After the show, they began dating, got engaged, and even sparked rumours of marriage.

Challenges and Conditions: Mphowabadimo Speaks Out
In a candid discussion about their relationship on MacG’s YouTube show, Podcast and Chill, Mpho discussed their relationship and explained that Themba must make amends before he can see their child, who was born earlier this year.
Despite emphasizing that she isn’t denying him access to their son, Mpho acknowledged the challenge of rebuilding their relationship due to the less-than-amicable breakup.
“I’m not depriving him from seeing his child, but the manner in which we broke up was not beautiful so it’s kind of hard to rebuild that bridge,” Mphowabadimo said.

Sangoma’s Stipulations: A Cultural Requirement
Mpho clarified that there is a specific process aligned with her role as a sangoma that Themba must undertake to reunite with their child. Drawing parallels to traditional lobolo negotiations when two families come together, Mpho emphasized that until this cultural practice is observed, she cannot permit Themba to see their son.
Themba, a tattoo artist and musician, shares two children with his previous partner, Nqobile Khuzwayo, while Mpho has an older son.
