Musa Khawula is Alive But Jailed

The rumours of Khawula’s death quickly propelled his name to the top of X’s trending list. However, it was soon revealed that Khawula is actually serving a 60-day sentence after being arrested for failing to appear before a Gauteng court. He was taken into custody on July 9 at the Vredenburg Magistrates Court during a separate appearance for a murder case.

Khawula’s lawyer clarified that the issue leading to his imprisonment was a civil matter handled by a Gauteng court. She advised him to serve his current sentence and then address the Gauteng court about the matter, as the Vredenburg court is focused on his criminal case.
