Khawula faces multiple charges, including hate speech, violations of the Cyber Crimes Act of 2020, and crimen injuria. These charges stem from a series of derogatory statements he allegedly made against businessman Ze Nxumalo between October 10 and 12, 2024. He is accused of several serious offences, including attempted murder, reckless driving, and failing to report an accident or seek assistance. These allegations were connected to a vehicle accident near Mponeng Mine on February 20, 2021.
According to reports, Khawula allegedly struck another individual with his car and fled the scene, leaving the injured man stranded on a deserted road. Only after another passing vehicle stopped to offer help did the victim receive assistance.
