According to the recent information coming from the local publication, City Press, South African actress, television host, and artist, Khanyi Mbau has swallowed more than she can chew. The newspaper has apparently indicated that the flamboyant media personality known for her flashy lifestyle owes the bank some money and is failing to pay back the loan. It has since been alleged that she has failed to pay for her two flashy cars that have since been repossessed by the bank.

Judging from the information available, the reality TV star actually missed two months’ worth of payment for the car and her accounts are in arrears. Surprisingly, the celebrity reportedly informed the bank that she had sold the Mercedes-Benz before receiving any court orders. The star further indicated that regarding the Porsche, she was only behind with just one monthly payment. In the same vein, both cars cost over 1 million rands and she was reportedly paying R30 000 a month for each of them.

From the look of things, the media personality is one of the Mzansi celebrities whose pockets have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in her failing to earn proper income this year. Besides, she has previously disclosed to Tshisa Live that she has since given up on making proper income this year. Because of the restrictions that were placed by the government in an effort to contain the spread of the novel infection, the personality has struggled to land gigs. To add salt to injury, the ban of alcohol directly affected the sale of her recently launched gin called I Am Khanyi.
