Veteran Actor and Musician Timmy Kwebulana Dies
Renowned South African actor Timmy Kwebulana has died.
Timmy Kwebulana who was popularly known for portraying the role of Bra Vic Tau, on the e.tv drama series, ‘Shooting Stars’ passed away on the evening of 19 September 2024.
Bra Timmy “Ngqungqumbana” Kwebulana was a beloved figure in the world of television and comedy.

Family Confirms Timmy Kwebulana’s Death
Timmy Kwebulana’s family confirmed his death in a statement.
It is with sadness that the Kwebulana family officially announces the passing of long-time musician, actor and director, Mr Timmy Kwebulana, on the evening of 19 September 2024 after a short illness. We give thanks for his life and all his contributions to us as a family and the arts and entertainment industry for almost six decades,” read the statement
His family asked for privacy during the difficult period.
“We acknowledge that there will be many heartfelt messages of condolences to the family and relatives. We appreciate them so much. However, we do request, especially from the media and our industry colleagues, that the family is given some time to gather and organise logistics and a way forward.”
