The SAPS and South African Revenue Service (SARS) conducted a surprise raid at the La Lucia residence of Shauwn Mkhize, popularly known as MaMkhize, last Tuesday.
While the authorities did not disclose the exact reason for the raid, MaMkhize is reportedly under investigation for R37 million in unpaid taxes. In August, SARS had indicated that progress was being made in their case against Shauwn Mkhize.

Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that firearms were confiscated during the raid on MaMkhize’s mansion.
