It’s another sad day for the entertainment and clothing industry following the death of Kaya FM DJ and founder of clothing wear, Loxion Kulća, Mzwandile Nzimande who has passed on Wednesday, this week.

“A legend has fallen, today the Nzimande family confirmed the passing of a legend and our friend Mzwandile Nzimande you might know as DJ 1D. R.I.P DJ ID,” wrote Kaya FM on their Facebook page.

The South African Hip Hop Awards also shared their condolences,

“the South African Hip Hop fraternity mourns the death of icon and pioneer Wandile “DJ1D” Nzimande, we’d like to send our condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace #RIPDJ1D!”

It’s been a sad start for the entertainment industry, just a few days ago the industry learnt of the passing on of music producer and gospel star Pastor Israel Mosehla who was a Pastor and worship leader at House Ministries International in Johannesburg.

On Monday the nation learned of the passing on of yet another veteran actress Lindiwe Ndlovu, who died in her sleep in the wee hours of the morning.

Lindiwe’s career began more than a decade ago when she played the role of Qondi in Mazinyo Dot Q. She soon became known in homes all over Mzansi when she graced the screen as the Malawian maid Buseje on SABC1’s Ses’Top La.

She is renowned for her roles in a number of television productions including Zabalaza, Lockdown, Soul City, Scandal, Isidingo, Backstage and Home Affairs.

Her fans most recently celebrated her acting skills when she brought the role of Sharon to life on Mzansi Magic’s Lockdown, produced by Mandla N. In September last year, she scored a role on Mzansi Magic’s isiZulu series Ifalakhe.
