A new strain of the Hepatitis virus has been discovered and according to scientists the virus favors human saliva as a mode of transmission.
More so, the virus is killing the infected in a span on 48 hours.
“Yes it is true that there is a newer and resistant strain of the hepatitis virus. We have been seeing a lot of casualties in the past few weeks” Professor Van Nierkerk of the Infectious Diseases Control centre said in an interview.
“We would advise all couples to get tested for this virus. Looking ahead, we’re likely to end up with more casualties” he elaborated.
A cure hasn’t been found for this strain as it is in the nature of all viruses to have no cure. However there have been measures to develop a vaccine similar to the existing Hepatitis virus.
