Nigerian Man Found With Four Human Skulls

A 55-year-old man has been arrested for being in possession of four human skulls and other body parts which include two dry human hands and three jaws
According to the command spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi the suspect was arrested following a report lodged at a local police station that a man was seen with a bag suspected to contain stolen property.
“The suspect was arrested after the incident was reported at Ago Iwoye division that a man was seen with a bag suspected to contain stolen property, and when he was challenged, he dropped the bag and ran into the bush.
Moreover, upon the report, the DPO of Ago Iwoye police station, CSP Paul Omiwole, led his detectives to the scene where they opened the bag and discovered that it contained dry human parts. Consequently, the bush he ran into was properly combed and the suspect was apprehended,” said the spokesperson.
Upon being interrogated, the 55-year-old confessed to having harvested the human parts from one Christian cemetery in Oke Eri, Ijebu-Ode together with one Lekan Bakare who is now at large. The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Ajogun has since directed that the case be transferred to the state CIID for further investigation and prosecution.
However, in the past year, the Nigerian Police Force has arrested at least 432 suspected cultists within the Ogun State.
Edward Ajogun, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police has since said the suspected cultists have been prosecuted citing that they were members of the Aiye and Eiye confraternities.
The Ogun State has been identified by the Police as amongst one of the dangerous hotspots of ritual killings in the country with areas like Ota, Lambe, and Mowe being the most dangerous in the State.
