‘I’ll Come for You and Your Generation!’: Miss Universe Runner-Up Chidimma Adetshina Fires Back at South Africans
Miss Universe runner-up Chidimma Adetshina has taken to TikTok to slam critics who trolled her and her family.
The 23-year-old model, who was born in Cape Town, posted a lighthearted video of her Nigerian father, Michael Adetshina, dancing at a social gathering.
However, the clip quickly became a battleground for online trolls, prompting Chidimma to fire back.
Under the post, several users commented on the Home Affairs investigation into her family, alleging that they were illegally living in South Africa.
Chidimma wasted no time in shutting down the accusations, stating,
“One thing about me: I’ll come for you and your generation. I’m not the one!”
Family Under Scrutiny: Home Affairs Investigation
Chidimma’s family has been under intense scrutiny since her mother, Anabela Rungo, was arrested and released on bail over allegations of fraudulently registering her daughter as a South African citizen.
The controversy led to Chidimma dropping out of the 2024 Miss South Africa pageant and having her South African ID and passport seized.
Despite the ongoing legal challenges, Chidimma has remained vocal about her identity and heritage.
She dismissed claims that her father is a Nigerian “drug lord” living in Cape Town, poking fun at the absurdity of the accusations.
She also addressed rumors about her age, asserting her authenticity in the face of relentless criticism.
Defending Her Roots: “Nigerians Will Always Be Better”
In her fiery responses, Chidimma proudly defended her Nigerian heritage, clapping back at one user who questioned her behavior as a Miss Universe representative.
“In Nigeria, we know how to handle people like you,” she wrote.
To another critic, she responded,
“Nigerians will always be better, and that’s why you’re bitter.”
Chidimma also challenged claims that her mother had stolen the identity of another South African baby, demanding proof of the alleged victim.
“You still failed to bring the girl to us…show us this imaginary girl! I’m still waiting…it’s been a year,” she wrote.
