Renowned DJ and producer Black Coffee recently made his first appearance on social media since his involvement in a serious travel accident.

The celebrated DJ was on his way to a scheduled performance in Mar Del Plata when the accident occurred back in January.

Taking to Instagram this past Friday, Black Coffee expressed gratitude to his fans for respecting his privacy during his recovery period. He shared that he’s feeling better and eagerly anticipates getting back behind the decks to entertain his die-hard fans.

“Thank you for respecting my privacy during an intimate and enlightening moment in my life. I’ve taken this time to recover and take some much needed time off at home, healing with my family by my side,” Black Coffee wrote.

He also mentioned that he will soon be making announcements about upcoming shows.

“It’s been rejuvenating on a handful of levels, I can’t wait to be back on the dance floor with you all very, very soon. I’m thankful to the merciful God for giving me yet another chance.🙏🏿❤️ Announcement for the near future shows coming soon. Big Love, Black Coffee #Godsveryown,” the Grammy Award winner added.

In other news, Black Coffee was seen attending the State of Nations Address in Cape Town on Thursday, accompanied by his son Anesu, whom he shares with his ex-wife Enhle Mbali. This photo quickly went viral. However, it should be noted that this was not the first time DJ Black Coffee had been seen in public since the accident.

On January 17, music executive Nota Baloyi shared a photo of the DJ in an Apple store on X, formerly known as Twitter. Nota Baloyi captioned the post by saying,

“He can fold his arms now… I knew that whole hand-in-the-pocket thing was a scam. Don’t ask me who told me!.”
