Details of the Incident
According to reports, the incident took place at approximately 11:15 PM on Koyana Street. The attacker, who remains unidentified, approached the drive-through in a white Nissan double-cab bakkie.
For reasons yet to be determined, he fired a shot through the service window, striking the pregnant cashier in the stomach. The employee was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

Captain Andre Beetge, spokesperson for the Kwazakhele police, confirmed that authorities were alerted to the shooting shortly after it occurred. A case of attempted murder has since been opened, and police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“It is alleged that an unknown male suspect shot a female employee through the drive-through window. She is currently receiving medical care, and an investigation into the case is ongoing.”
