Stepdad Murdah Bongz has celebrated Kairo Forbes, the daughter of the late rapper AKA and DJ Zinhle after she won her first award at the South African Social Media Awards (SASMA) 2023.
Kairo Forbes Wins Social Media Award
The six-year-old star was crowned the Social Media Kid Influencer of the Year at the prestigious event held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Sandton Convention Centre. Her mother, DJ Zinhle, accompanied her. Kairo dedicated the award to her father, who passed away earlier this year.
“We did it, Glammy!!! Thank you to Mom, Dad and my family for all your love and support, to everyone who voted for me, especially The Megacy and to @smawards_za and @canonrsa, thank you for honouring me with the Social Media Kid Influencer of the Year award,” she wrote.

The kid influencer has a vibrant social media presence, and her Instagram account has over 1.4 million followers. Owing to her popularity, she has scooped some brand endorsement deals. She also collaborated with her mom’s fashion accessories line, EraByDJZingle, to launch her jewellery collection called #OutOfThisWorld.

A thrilled Murdah Bongz congratulated his stepdaughter on his Instagram account, where he shared a picture of Kairo holding the award.
“This looks familiar. Proud of you @kairo.forbes, well done and well deserved.❤️” he captioned the post.
In the post, he also shared a picture of Kairo posing for a photo at the award ceremony and one with “glammy” Lynn Forbes. In another slide, Kairo and Murdah’s daughter Asante vibed to Tyler ICU’s 2023 global hit, Mnike.
