Muvhango Actress Writes Open Farewell Letter To Fans

Sad news Muvhango fans! For the second time in a short space, actress Rami Chuene has left the popular SABC 2 soapie.

In a heartfelt Instagram note to her fans on Thursday, Rami, who played the villainous role of Khomotjo, thanked everyone who supported her on her journey with Muvhango.

Upon her return to the soapie at the beginning of September, viewers of Muvhango were, once again, enthralled by the malicious antics and nefarious deeds of her character.

‘I would like to take this moment and thank each and every one of you who supported and got excited with me when I went back to Muvhango. I appreciate all the well wishes and love messages I received,” she wrote.

“I adore all those who ran back to watch the show just because Khomotjo came back.”

She revealed that she often got “emotional calls” and “frantic Whatsapps” about her character’s storyline from fans of the show.

“I still can’t get over the emotional calls, frantic whatsapps, inboxes or should I say tantrums that started at 9pm until the 3pm repeat. The full FB wall, the fiery tweets that got Khomotjo and the show trending!

The stops at malls with both young and old asking for the scoop, giving me hugs and kisses. To the devious and twisted who wanted Khomotjo to win no matter what!”
She further labelled her journey with the soapie as a “blessing”.

“What a journey, what a blast, what a blessing! Until the next one! From my heart to yours, THANK YOU! The Queen, the Diva has left the building!”

Subsequently, saddened fans took to the comments section to express their grief at the news of Rami’s departure.

“How sad. Wena [You] and Bobo are the reason I watched the show,” one fan commented.

“This is sad news. No more Muvhango for me till [you] back,” another wrote.
