Reiger Park Horror: Six Killed, Three Injured in Boksburg Drive-By Shooting
In a chilling act of violence, six people have been shot dead and three others injured in a drive-by shooting in Boksburg on Saturday night.

Gunmen Open Fire on Williams Road
According to police, the shooting occurred on Williams Road in Reiger Park during the evening. Witnesses reported chaos as gunmen in two vehicles—a silver Polo and a black Polo—opened fire randomly on people in the area.
Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed the tragic incident, saying, “It is reported that in the afternoon of Saturday, November 1, 2025, two vehicles, a silver Polo and a black Polo, came to this area and started shooting randomly.”
Police Launch Manhunt for Suspects
Nevhuhulwi said that the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, but investigations are underway. Law enforcement officials have since launched a manhunt for the suspects involved.
“The Acting Provincial Commissioner has appealed to the community of Reiger Park to allow law enforcement to do their job and work together with them by reporting any criminal activities on the Crime Stop Line at 08600 10111 or anonymously give tip-offs on MySAPS App,” she added.
Emergency Services on the Scene
Emergency services and police rushed to the scene to assist the victims and secure the area. Three injured individuals were taken to hospital for medical attention.
SAPS national spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe confirmed that Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General Fred Kekana personally attended the scene. “Three others have been injured and taken to hospital. This is happening in Reiger Park, JHB,” Mathe said.
Community Urged to Remain Calm
Police have not yet revealed any possible motive or connection between the victims and the attackers. However, the incident has sparked fear and concern among residents of Reiger Park, a community that has faced several violent incidents in recent years.
Authorities have urged anyone with information that could help identify the suspects to come forward as investigations continue.
