Horror amassed in Tzaneen when a young woman, Sithulisiwe (25) was seemingly struck dead by lightning.
Even more shocking was the glaring fact that there was no rain or clouds, just a bare sky and a scorching sun.
This happened stark in the middle of a township residential area where no tall tree or building was in sight.
“Tjoo, I’ve never seen anything like that in my life! It was like a bolt of lightning came from nowhere and struck her. Every one ran for their lives before we realised what had really happened” said an eyewitness.
Foul play is suspected as the deceased was involved with a well-known married businessman. The knowledge of their affair was common knowledge in the township.
“Who else would have a motive of killing her aside from the wife of the man she was involved with?” a close source hinted.
Still baffled by this piece of news we decided to interview a witch doctor from Tanzania, Abdul Majimarefu, in order to understand the science behind it all.
“Of course it’s true. One can manufacture lightning as a form or revenge. There are two types of lightning; one which requires using scraps of wood and the other a new cup and plate. Depending on which type you want the price ranges from about R800” the witch doctor says.
“Women are the ones who usually come to see me. In a month when you receive 15 customers, at least nine will be women. It doesn’t matter if they’re married. They’ll do anything the herbalist tells them to ‘control’ their lovers”
Abdul however denied being the manufacturer of the lightning which killed Sithulisiwe.
We could not get hold of the blesser’s wife as she is said to have left her husband in a fit of rage after ‘learning of the affair’
