Rhythm City has vowed to keep its fans entertained by adding three more characters on the show despite it coming to an end next year in July.

The move is set to revive the show and shake things up this December.

From the look of things, the star-studded show is set to rope in many of Mzansi greats to end the show on a banger.

One of the actors joining Rhythm City is former Gomora’s detective Mahlasela – real-life – Kabelo Moalusi.

Mahlasela had been an instant hit on Gomora – especially among the female audience – after pulling some remarkable stunts on Mzansi Magic’s most loved telenovela.

The show producers believe his presence will revive the storyline, especially on Diepkloof where he will play the powerful Pastor Makoro.

His rival – another new entry – Limakatso Mokithi will be playing a troublesome Deaconess Sonto who is on Pastor Makoro’s tail to uncover his ugly side.

One last actor roped in is Mpho Sebeng who is popularly known for his role of Goitseone on The Throne and Siso Ledwaba in Zero Tolerance nack in 2006.

He will be Blossom’s long lost son.

Rhythm City’s fate was announced a few months ago, the show producers revealed that they will end with its final episode on 16 July 2021 when e.tv replaces it with another daily drama series that is yet to be announced.

In the meantime, it will be airing on eTV as usual on its 7 pm timeslot.

The cast and crew are coming to terms with the fate despite still being shocked by how events went by the since eTV dropped a bomb on them, announcing its decision to stop the long-running show.
