Rihanna was the star attraction at the lavish bash of Anant Ambani, the son of India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, on March 1, 2024. The singer reportedly earned a whopping R120.6 million (US$6 million) for performing at the event, held in Jamnagar, India. Nearly 1,200 guests, including celebrities, business tycoons, and political figures, attended the bash.
Rihanna sang some of her hits, like “Diamonds” and “We Found Love”, for the crowd, who danced along with her. She also wore a stunning green outfit that matched the theme of the party, which was “jungle fever”.

The Billionaires-Studded Pre-Wedding “Festival” In India
The pre-wedding bash was part of a three-day celebration hosted by Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, a massive conglomerate with interests ranging from petrochemicals and oil and gas to telecoms and retail. Forbes lists Mukesh Ambani as the wealthiest person in Asia, with a net worth of R1.59 trillion.
On Wednesday, the Ambani family organised a community food service for 51,000 people living in nearby villages and invited them to watch the festivities on a giant screen. On Saturday, the guests visited an animal rescue centre run by Anant Ambani called “Vantara”, meaning “Star of the Forest”. The 3,000-acre centre houses abused, injured and endangered animals, especially elephants.

Anant Ambani, 28, is set to marry his longtime girlfriend, Radhika Merchant, in July. Merchant is the daughter of Viren Merchant, chief executive of Encore Healthcare, and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant. The actual wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant happens in July 2024 and will likely be another extravagant affair.
Some of the notable guests who attended the pre-wedding bash were Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai, Ivanka Trump, Indian billionaires Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla, and cricketers and Bollywood film stars such as Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Salman Khan and Sachin Tendulkar.
