Khabane Khaby Lame, the globally recognised TikTok personality boasting more than 162 million followers, experienced a temporary hold by U.S. immigration officials at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport on June 6, 2025. The incident occurred due to concerns regarding his visa status during his visit to the United States.

The 25-year-old content creator, who holds Italian citizenship and was born in Senegal, entered the U.S. on April 30, 2025. According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) representatives, Lame’s detention stemmed from exceeding the permitted duration of his authorized stay under his current visa classification.
