Shebeshxt Granted R5,000 Bail Ahead of 2026 Trial
Controversial Limpopo musician Shebeshxt has been released on R5,000 bail following his court appearance in the Lebowakgomo Regional Court on Friday.
The artist, who faces multiple criminal charges, is expected to go on trial from 17 to 19 February 2026.

Accused of Firing Shots at Another Motorist
The latest charges stem from an incident that occurred on 19 October 2025 in Ladanna, Polokwane. According to police, the 30-year-old musician allegedly confronted another motorist and fired several shots at both the man and his vehicle during the altercation.
He was arrested on 12 November 2025 in Bendor, Polokwane, before making his first court appearance the following day. The matter was postponed to 21 November for a formal bail hearing, which has now been concluded.
Facing Multiple Other Criminal Cases
This case adds to a growing list of legal troubles for the artist. Shebeshxt is already facing several other charges, including:
- Two counts of attempted murder
- Assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
- Robbery with aggravating circumstances
- Malicious damage to property
All these matters remain ongoing, with future court dates expected to be set in due course.
Trial Set for Early 2026
The court confirmed that Shebeshxt’s trial for the October shooting incident will run over three days in February 2026. No plea has been entered yet, and the artist has not issued a public statement regarding the allegations.
