Actress Simz Ngema announced her pregnancy and is expecting her second child with Zimbabwean-born model and TV presenter Tino Chinyani.

Simz made the announcement in a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday, sharing that her family is growing:
“Our little family just got bigger.❤️”
Simz, 35, and Chinyani, 30, have had an on-again, off-again relationship but are now preparing for the arrival of their second child together. The couple welcomed their first son, Tiyani, in 2020. Simz reflected on that difficult experience in 2021, revealing that the pregnancy nearly cost both her and her son’s lives.
The pair’s relationship initially sparked in 2019 following the tragic death of Ngema’s late husband, actor Dumisani Masilela, who was killed in a carjacking in 2017. Simz and Chinyani’s romance seemed solid until they shocked fans with a split in September 2021, announcing their decision to co-parent.
“This has been one of my greatest experiences, a beautiful love story of two people fighting all the odds to be together,” Ngema shared at the time. “I have learned to love again, to feel again, to live again, and to smile again.”

In March 2023, rumours swirled that the couple had rekindled their relationship after Chinyani posted several intimate photos of them together on social media.
Simz, in a playful social media post, confirmed that things were back on track between them, joking:
“Mang’thanda nginga typer enye ibreakup ithi pe … ngiyadlala eyi! Sesi right [if I want to, I’ll type another break-up, dare me … lol, I’m joking, we are good now].“
The actress expressed her gratitude for Chinyani’s unwavering support, praising him for always going the extra mile.
“For the wrong one, he will make excuses; for the right one, he will move mountains. Thank you for moving mountains, my Wumpalumpa.“
