Sizok’thola Presenter Xolani Khumalo Granted Bail Amidst Murder Allegations

Xolani Khumalo, the renowned presenter of the hit TV show Sizok’thola, was granted bail by the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court on Tuesday. This significant development follows Khumalo’s voluntary surrender to the Katlehong North Police Station yesterday.

Xolani Khumalo Bail  

Xolani Khumalo, now embroiled in a murder case, secured bail in the amount of R20,000 during his court appearance.

Surprisingly, the state did not oppose his bail application, a decision that has raised eyebrows. The National Prosecuting Authority revealed that despite believing they had a strong case, the prosecution did not contest the bail application.

As per Sunday World reports, Xolani Khumalo is set to return to court on October 19, adding further intrigue to the unfolding legal saga.

The Mysterious Murder Case

At the heart of this legal drama lies the mysterious murder case that which Xolani Khumalo finds himself entangled. It all began with the untimely death of notorious drug lord Robert “Kicks” Varrie. Robert Varrie died shortly after Khumalo’s visit during the filming of an episode of Sizok’thola in July. Allegations emerged that Khumalo and his television crew may be connected to Varrie’s death.

Xolani Khumalo’s Stance on the Case

In a statement released through his foundation, The Xolani Khumalo Foundation, Khumalo emphasized his cooperation with law enforcement throughout the investigation. He stated,

The South African Police Service has requested that Xolani Khumalo hand himself over in connection with an incident that occurred at one of the last drug busts. Xolani Khumalo and the team operated according to the strictest standards of professionalism when engaged in securing accountability from those that sell drugs and choose to harm communities.”
