Skeem Saam: Fanie the mastermind, Kgosi the Criminal
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. This is the beginning of a very interesting journey for us all. When we get to see Fanie make his return on our screens as the criminal we know him to be.
This young man has been in the forefront of some of the most riveting criminal stories, remember the card skimming? He is incredibly hungry for success but taking shortcuts seems to be the way in which he seems to want to go about his way to success.
Recently, it is the abalone acquiring and preparation in a quaint sometimes busy café (because students).
Fanie seems to love risk with all his heart and is always willing to go the extra mile to get exactly what he wants. Is it worth it? Well in his case, NEVER! Who would have thought the eager chef Kgosi, would turn out to be a criminal who knows how to get illegal food into the restaurant to the point where he even knows how to prepare it?
What is Kgosi’s history? The story of single father of two seems to be too good to be true at this point. It also does not inspire any confidence that he was so quickly able to acquire abalone so quickly.
Kgosi seemed to be a well-meaning chef who just wanted his big break but we are learning that it was too good to be true. We are learning to not let ourselves be fooled by first impressions.
To be honest though, there will be so much more to come from Kgosi. His refusal to now prepare the abalone, will probably mean that he demands more money from Fanie, since it cannot be known that they have acquired abalone.
Kgosi, will show Fanie flames and Fanie’s love for money will trap him forever!
