Soccer Star Brilliant Khuzwayo Stabs MUT Student With A Knife
Former Bafana Bafana, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates goalie, Brilliant Khuzwayo has been slapped with counter-charges after the Saturday stabbing incident at the Mangosuthu University of Technology in Umlazi.
Taking to social media,Brilliant Khuzwayo ’s tweet on the said day, he had earlier claimed that an unidentified man believed to be a MUT student approached him and stabbed him just before he could make an address at the university.
17-10-2020 Brilliant Khuzwayo was invited to speak at the Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) sports event. Right before he could make his address, a male believed to be a MUT student stabbed him and he was rushed to the hospital.

Details surrounding the incident are still somewhat unclear but reports have claimed that Brilliant Khuzwayo was allegedly stabbed in his hand by a student with a bottle of alcohol and was then rushed to the hospital. A case was immediately opened with Umlazi SAPS.
And revelations from the police spokesperson further revealed that both men were involved in an altercation after which they both claimed to have been stabbed, one with a broken bottle and one with a knife.
“Counter charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm are being investigated by Umlazi SAPA. Both suspects ages 23 and 30 will appear before the Umlazi Magistrate’s Court,” said KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Jay Naicker.
Meaning the former Kaizer Cheifs goalie may have used a knife to stab the student. The two men will both appear before the Umlazi Magistrate’s Court today on Monday.
