Beloved social media sensation Kwenzekile Glamdlozi Mngoma has publicly declined a formal invitation to join the cast of the hit reality series, The Real Housewives of Durban. The offer, extended by the show’s production team during pre-production for its highly anticipated sixth season, was met with a firm and unambiguous refusal from the online personality.
The production team had reached out to Mngoma with considerable enthusiasm, believing her dynamic presence would be a perfect fit for the show. A message from the RHOD team, seen by this publication, stated,
“We think you could be an amazing addition to the cast. May I kindly request to schedule a phone call with you so we could have this conversation further.”
However, the influencer was not swayed by the proposition.

A Firm Refusal and Divided Public Reaction
Glamdlozi’s reasoning was succinct and delivered in her native isiZulu, leaving little room for doubt about her stance. She simply stated,
“Angimcabangi ngalala ejele,” which translates to “I don’t even want to consider it.”
This decisive rejection has sparked a fervent debate amongst her legion of followers, splitting opinion right down the middle.
Many fans have rallied in support of her choice, applauding her for prioritising her peace of mind over reality television fame. One supporter, Lehan Lotus, commented,
“For your own peace of mind gogo (grandmother), I beg you not to go there. They’ll only show one side of your personality. I don’t think this show will represent you for who you are.” This sentiment was strongly echoed by another follower, Zandile Kwata, who added, “I wouldn’t encourage you to agree gogo, those shows are very toxic. In fact, ladies are very toxic towards each other.”
The Show Must Go On
Confirming the approach, RHOD producer Sam Kelly stated that the search for the new season’s cast is still very much in its early stages.
“We haven’t started selecting the wives for Season 6, we are still doing our research,” Kelly explained. “Every season we look for new cast members. But it depends on many factors and who will be a good fit with the others. My team has looked at her, and she declined. We are moving right along.”
