Social Media Backlash and Accusations

After sharing the video of her shopping spree on social media, the post quickly attracted criticism, with users questioning the source of her funds and whether they were tied to the public donations made for her late father’s medical expenses.

Some speculated that the funds used for her shopping might have come from insurance payments or the public donations previously raised to cover her father’s R700,000 medical bill.

Critics suggested that spending on luxury goods was inappropriate given her father’s recent passing and the family’s previous financial appeal.

Louisa Molokane Responds to Haters

Louisa Molokane did not remain silent amid the backlash. In a heated response, she denied that her shopping funds were connected to her father’s insurance money or donations.

I dare you to show me prove of payment of the donation money I ate. What you don’t know is this was an advance that we have to pay because it was just one person who help us with that,”

Addressing the Family’s Financial Struggles

In her response, Molokane highlighted the financial challenges her family faced while caring for her father. She explained that her father had helped many people over the years, noting that they didn’t owe anyone an explanation or apology for their actions.

She further rebuffed those who questioned why her father was not treated in a public hospital, arguing that public healthcare is not always free or accessible.

Papa helped so many people- it was in his blood. He did a lot in giving back. Some of you suggesting public hospital cause it’s free- some people don’t know public ain’t free. Some of you said he already passed while he was fighting. There are battles we had to face- some you guys don’t know behind the scenes. If I were to talk can take the whole day. Having a loved one in hospital is heartbreaking- there is no need for assumption and mean opinion,” she continued.

Defending Her Actions and Dismissing Misconceptions

Molokane expressed sadness and disappointment at the online comments, stating that she felt compelled to defend herself due to widespread misinformation.

She reassured followers that her shopping funds had no connection to any insurance payout or donations, emphasizing that her family does not owe anyone anything.

We never said anyone owed us either. I don?t know where you get that! It is heartbreaking how you can twist a situation you know nothing about. The fact I had to address this is hurtful. And no! It’s no policy money either,” she added.
