South African celebrity choreographer, singer, actor and television personality Somizi Mhlongo says the recently deceased Mandoza was like a little kid who had seen sweets when he went to see him.
The Idols presenter took to Instagram and to share his two cents about the late Mandoza!
The post read, “My heart is in such pain. Went to visit him last week at his home. His excitement was like a child seeing sweets. We laughed, we spoke about spirituality. About God. We joked about almost everything. Including his blindness.
“He promised me that no matter what, his soul is happy. We hugged and said our goodbyes. He asked me to cook and bring him my meals im in such pain. To Mpho: u were a perfect example of what through thick and thin means. Rip Mdu (sic)”.
Somizi also posted a video of himself dancing to Mandoza’s hit single, Nkalakatha
In another post, Somizi said that he may not be a preacher but he knows when the devil is at work, saying, “Heavy heart. I feel down. There’s gloom in the air. Not just coz of Mandoza’s passing alone. I’m not a preacher but I’m spiritual enough to know when the devil is at work.
“If understand what I’m talking about and ur feeling or going thru a challenge, for a min and pray so hard. Tell the devil that Yo God is more powerful than him. He will not win. And pray for light. Coz there is light in every dark situation. Be blessed. I wish u love and strength (sic)”.
