South African Radio Presenter Bra Steele Dies

South African iconic radio presenter Sipho Mololomba popularly known as “Bra Steele” has died. He was 62 years old.

Bra Steele was a presenter of the musical show The Transformation of Radio.

He sadly passed away on Thursday night, 14 November.

Alex FM Confirms Bra Steele’s Death

Bra Steele sudden untimely death was confirmed in a statement shared on Facebook by Alex FM.

Beloved Bra Steele passes away, leaving a legacy of great soothing memories on the airwaves. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of renowned Sipho Mololomba, popularly known as Bra Steele, a cherished member of our station. Bra Steele left an indelible mark on the hearts of our listeners, friends, and family.” 

Details surrounding his death remain unclear. However, according to the station’s manager, Takalane “TK” Nemangowe, Bra Steele was driving when he suddenly felt unwell. He pulled over to the side of the road, where he tragically passed away.

Bra Steele’s was a pioneer in community broadcasting, with a remarkable career spanning over 25 years. His tragic death has deeply affected many, leaving his fans heartbroken.
