MULTI-AWARD winning actress Florence Masebe has an unruly cyber stalker!
Florence, who is known for her roles inMuvhango and Ring of Lies, posted screen grabs of messages from the stalker on Twitter earlier this month.
In the messages sent on Facebook, the stalker says he wants to be Florence’s boyfriend, but she just ignores him. He later says she can’t ignore his messages forever.
One of the messages, written in a mixture of Sepedi and Sesotho, reads: “I have tried my best to be with you but you keep ignoring me like I’m nothing, Florence. Even if you ignore this message, I won’t be surprised. I’m used to it.”
In other messages the stalker, whose name on Facebook is Pat Kekana, claims he has known Florence forever. The SunTeam’s attempts to contact Pat proved fruitless.
When Daily Sun contacted Florence for comment, she said she wanted nothing to do with the matter.
“I’m not interested in talking about this.”
However, cops said people who felt they were being bullied on social media should come forward.
Police spokesman Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo said: “People can always come forward and open cases if they feel victimised on social media. We have a police division called the cyber crime unit which specifically deals with such matters.”
