Because of her TV gig, it’s said that Bonang was really famous at school. The demands of her career might have proved too much to balance with her academics, such that she had to choose.
As a result, she had to choose between her career and her academics, she chose the former and that is a decision she hasn’t regretted because she’s now on of the richest and most influential Celebs in South Africa.
Cassper Nyovest
Cassper Nyovest has been vocal about his struggles with school and how he dropped out.
Said Cassper:
Going to school wasn’t my path to follow. I don’t have time.” He added that he really doesn’t need school for what he is doing right now. “I will go back to school maybe someday when I’m bored. I won’t go back right now.”
Minnie Dlamini
Minnie dropped out of the University of Cape Town where she was studying film, media, drama, and economics and moved to Joburg to pursue her TV career.
Boity
Boity drop out of Monash University where she was doing a Double major in Psychology and Criminology due to financial struggles. She mentioned that her mother no longer had the money to pay for her education so she had to drop out of school in the third year.
Charlize Theron
The Hollywood famous actress who grew up in Benoni dropped out of the National School of the Arts by choice. She said she went to Hollywood at just 18 with just $400 in her pocket.
