SuperSport Presenter Faces Backlash After Calling Cristiano Ronaldo a “Poes” On Live Television

A South African slay queen/ influencer Twiggy Moli has come under fire after video footage of her calling Cristiano Ronaldo a p**s went viral.

Tshepang Mollison, popularly known as Twiggy Moli, was captured on video responding to a question on Supersport’s Super Picks show. Twiggy Moli swore at the former Real Madrid and Juventus superstar live on national TV.

Who do you want to win this one, Ronaldo or Messi?” asked her co-host before she answered “Messi, because Ronaldo is a p**s,” she said.

Watch the video below;

P**s is an extremely insulting Afrikaans swear word which is used to refer to female genitalia.

The video sparked outrage on social media as critics accused SuperSport of hiring slay queens who have no knowledge about football instead of professional football analysts.

@ChrisExcel102;

This is what happens when they let slay queens and influencers analyse football for us…

This is sad

@jucLloydZA;

@SuperSportTV please get professional football analysts. @TwiggyMoli called Cristiano Ronaldo a poes on national television.

Unacceptable

@AdvoBarryRoux;

Tshepang ‘Twiggy’ Mollison called Cristiano Ronaldo a poes live on Tv. This what happens when you bring clueless Slay Queens to talk about things they have zero idea about. She clearly couldn’t distinguish being on national TV and entertaining Blessers in Sandton.

@LadyFear1

I was shocked, you cannot be talking like that on TV where you are being asked to offer professional critique. Supersport lost the plot this World Cup.

Following the heavy criticism on social media, SuperSport later came out to issue an apology.

SuperSport is aware of a SuperPicks video circulating on social media. This was a rehearsal that was not meant for broadcast. Despite this, we unreservedly apologise for the language used,” reads the statement.
