Second Suspect Withdrawn
Majola is one of two men initially arrested in connection with the killing. Charges against the second suspect have been provisionally withdrawn, while police investigations continue to locate at least one more individual believed to be involved.
Circumstances of the Killing
DJ Warras, 40, was shot dead on 16 December outside Zambezi House in Johannesburg’s central business district. CCTV footage reportedly shows three individuals approaching him shortly before the attack.
Authorities are probing whether the killing was linked to his work in the private security industry, where he provided services to inner-city buildings.
Ongoing Investigations
The suspects were arrested following a pre-dawn police operation at Morafe Hostel in Soweto on 22 December.
Gauteng police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing, including inquiries into potential threats DJ Warras received in the weeks before his death.
