Tebogo Thobejane Breaks Silence on Financial Struggles and Trauma

South African actress Tebogo Thobejane has opened up about her current challenges and financial struggles, responding to recent reports suggesting she is facing difficulties while residing in Dubai. Thobejane, who left the country for several months due to threats on her life, took to social media to address the situation in a now-deleted post.

A Life Turned Upside Down: Tebogo Thobejane’s Journey Through Trauma and Anxiety

In her statement, Tebogo acknowledged that her life has taken an unexpected turn and that she is currently dealing with a lot. However, she criticized the media for their treatment, accusing them of bullying. She wrote,

I’m currently dealing with a lot as everyone is concerned about my survival and financial struggles. Let’s address this head-on. My life has been turned upside down, and my misery seems to be a popular narrative.”

Setting the Record Straight: Denying Reports of Relocation and Emphasizing Pending Case

The former Muvhango star briefly touched on the attack she experienced a few months ago in South Africa, where her vehicle was sprayed with bullets. The incident has left her grappling with extreme anxiety while trying to rebuild her life. Tebogo acknowledged that being a public figure meant her life was part of public entertainment, but she emphasized the need for understanding and empathy.

Additionally, Tebogo revealed that she has a pending case in court and stated that her focus is on her family and career. She refuted reports suggesting she was planning to relocate outside the country, emphasizing that she never mentioned such plans.

Tebogo called for attention to be redirected to the broader issues affecting the country, particularly the ongoing violence against women. She urged society to address these critical issues rather than focusing solely on her personal struggles.

However, she also stated that donations are welcome is she is struggling financially.

I never mentioned leaving the country, and this narrative needs to stop. After the trauma l’ve been through, I have the right to heal. Rather than focusing on me, let’s address the issues in our country, where women are constantly being killed. But, if I’m struggling financially, donations are welcome”
