Hip-hop artist Mthandeni Ndevu, better known by his stage name Emtee, has publicly voiced his displeasure with his record label, Empire Africa. The rapper, who signed with the label a year ago, claims they have not fulfilled their contractual obligations.
Emtee took to social media to share his dissatisfaction, describing the past year as one of the worst periods of his life. According to Emtee, despite signing with Empire Africa over a year ago, he feels that little to no effort has been made to advance his career.

He expressed frustration about his long-awaited album, stating they have not yet released it. He pointed out that, although his previous label, Ambitiouz Entertainment, had its issues, at least they never left him waiting an entire year to release new music.
Struggles with Previous Label, Ambitiouz Entertainment
Before joining Empire Africa, Emtee was signed to Ambitiouz Entertainment, a label that has since reportedly shut down. However, his time with them was also marred by difficulties. Emtee revealed that he became frustrated with Ambitiouz due to being overworked, performing as many as six shows in a single night, only to receive a fixed salary at the end of the month.
