Three Men Gunned Down in Mkhuhlu as Mercedes-Benz is Riddled with Bullets
Three men were shot in Mkhuhlu, Mpumalanga, on Friday while travelling in a charcoal Mercedes-Benz with Gauteng registration plates. The motive behind the killings remains unknown, and police have since launched a manhunt for the suspects.
Mercedes-Benz Vehicle Riddled with Bullets
Emergency personnel and police rushed to the scene and found the Mercedes-Benz riddled with bullet holes. All three occupants sustained severe gunshot wounds. Two of the men were declared dead at the scene by paramedics, while the third victim later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
Police recovered several cartridges from the scene, indicating the extent of the gunfire.

Police Confirm Incident
Provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli confirmed the details of the incident.
“Upon arrival at the scene, police found the vehicle riddled with bullet holes and three victims had severe gunshot wounds. Two of the victims were unfortunately certified dead by the paramedics at the scene, while the third victim succumbed to his injuries in hospital. Police collected a number of cartridges at the scene,” said Mdhluli.
Manhunt Underway
Acting provincial police commissioner Major General Zeph Mkhwanazi revealed that a dedicated team of experts has been assembled to investigate the case.
“The team is working around the clock to ensure that the perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice. We are adamant that our communities will come forth with valuable information regarding this case,” said Mkhwanazi.
Police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
